So I just had to write about this because it was really funny. Since our fridge broke and we had no food we have had to look for healthy 'fast food' options which is really an oxymoron and is very hard to do.
Well if you have watched t.v. in the last 12 minutes you know that Kentucky Fried Chicken now makes grilled chicken and they have a new chicken meal that is 395 calories and cost $3.95 clever marketing right? Its a brilliant idea. So Gus and I decided to try to pick up this meal for dinner to see if it was any good. We pull into our KFC and pull through the drive through.
Our eyes roved the menu searching for the deal so we knew what to call it when we ordered but we could not find any sign of the plate anywhere. Which is odd because KFC is a big fan of huge sticker sized posters all over everything. Gus wondered aloud if they did not have grilled chicken and I laughed and said "no honey that's impossible that is their new big thing they have to have it".
When it was our turn we pulled up to the speaker box and I leaned over and ordered the new "395 grilled chicken meal" to which I got this response honest to God....
"We don't have grilled chicken here".
Said in a tone that implied, duh its Kentucky Fried Chicken you bourgeoisie bitch why don't you just go to Subway?
I am assuming he meant they did not have grilled chicken at that location and that it did not extend to all of Southern Illinois but one can really not be too sure here. That my friends is a true story.
